This was shot with an Olympus E-20 and three Speedotron Brownline strobes:

  1. Key light was about 1.5 meters from subject, diffused through a motorhome sun shield.
  2. Fill light was positioned in back of the subject, pointed at the cylindrical cove, which was a diffuser from a drop-ceiling light, purchased at Home Depot.
  3. Specular light was positioned over the subject with a small reflector.

The turntable was a "lazy susan" purchased at a garage sale, calibrated in degrees on the outside edge, covered with Sintra™.

In retrospect, I think the key light was a bit weak; I should have moved it half a stop closer. And some of the frames appear to have noticably different brightness. I think I was shooting quicker than my strobes were charging up, or inconsistently after they said they were charged. Next time, I'll watch more carefully and shoot as soon as the "Ready" lamp comes on.

Below are some shots of the setup.
