Now for the long refractors. Not too many surprises here, although I 'bout cried when I first saw the Zuiko 180/2.8 wide open. But now I know it cleans up well for 4/3rds use when stopped down a bit.

Boy, the Tamron is a bow-wow wide open! Adding teleconverters actually cleans it up quite a bit. This was surprising, and I thought it may have been operator error of some sort, but I since checked it again, and it really seems that bad wide open. Kinda negates the whole reason to be carrying around a couple kilograms of glass, when you have to stop down to the open aperture of the Zuiko 300, which did fine wide open and is much lighter.
