Crater Lake to Diamond Lake
Description:
We climb 8929 foot (2722 meter) Mount Scott in Oregon’s Crater Lake National Park at dusk to see the sunset, and I take thirteen telephoto shots with a panoramic tripod head.
But after scanning, even Adobe Photoshop isn’t up to the task, so I hand–stitch and blend just eleven of the shots to create this panorama, which is disproportionately scaled to fit the media, resulting in a vertical exaggeration of about 4.4.
Crater lake is at the bottom left, with Diamond Lake on the right. The four biggest peaks are The Watchman, Hillman Peak, Llao Rock, and Diamond Peak.
