Snakewwed and Pinnacles

Description:

Visitors to Oregon's Crater Lake National Park often miss The Pinnacles, because they are eight miles out of the way on a narrow, bumpy road that discourages "through tourists" with their trailers and huge recreational vehicles. But these towering spires are worth the visit. Rising hot gasses and minerals solidified the ash that once filled Pinnacle Valley. The surrounding ash then eroded away, leaving a landscape right out of a sci-fi movie. You almost expect a bulbous-eyed alien to appear!
