Frozen Fungus
Description:
The high-elevation growing season lasts but a few weeks, and these tiny, colorful mushrooms make the most of it.
There are no fungi on “the list,” so the rest of the Alpine Ecology class hurry past on Oregon’s Timberline Trail near Cooper’s Spur on Mount Hood, hoping to locate and identify “approved” life forms.
But as usual, me and my camera are bringing up the rear. Perhaps I’ll get a better grade if I leave the camera home!
