Photoshop Sources
I cannot vouch for any of these sources! Caveat emptor! -- JWS
Class member Kathryn reports that Ira Barmash of Mair Products is selling multiple copies of new, never registered, Windows version of Photoshop 6.0 at auction on eBay -- typically for under $200. You can contact Ira via email or at 718.646.1212, during East Coast business hours. Here is his eBay listing for this item.
Adobe offers a free "try out" version of Photoshop 5.0 LE. It is fully functional for 30 days after installation, after which it quits working.
Adobe also offers a free "try out" version of Photoshop 6.0 (full). It works indefinitely, but will not save, export, nor print.
Here is a list of individuals offering Photoshop for auction on eBay. (If you don't know what eBay is, hold on to your wallet -- it can be addictive. It's essentially an ongoing, web-based auction. Once you go through a simple registration procedure, you can buy and sell all manner of stuff there. You should know your prices, though -- I've seen people bid up items higher than discount retail price! The best introduction might be via the eBay home page.)
[Note added 9 Feb 2001: I contacted this person. He requires secured funds (cashiers check or money order) and refused to provide references. In general, I'd only use secured funds with someone against with you have some leverage. For example, on eBay, you can leave negative feedback. Otherwise, you have no recourse if something is wrong -- JWS.]

Have a few copies of Photoshop 5.0 LE, these are given out by Maxtor when you buy a new hard drive.
I already have a copy that came with my Oly 3030Z so can't use any more.
Will sell for $22.00 prepaid to U.S. address only. Staples gets $95.
